How do I get to/from the airport?

If you arrive on one of the flights mentioned or on a flight with similar arrival/departure times, transportation will be arranged for you. If you arrive/depart on another day/time, please write to us and we can guide you.

Anything else I need to know?

We recommend wrapping your luggage and adding a unique identifier to it, like a large colourful sticker, so it is easy to spot in the baggage carousel.

If you are able to, we recommend upgrading to business on the connecting route to/from Dhaka. Most flights we mentioned allow upgrading just that route, rather than the whole flight, after purchasing the ticket, and because it is a post-purchase upgrade, it is usually not much more expensive.

Do I need a visa for Bangladesh?

Please check online if you require a visa for Bangladesh. If so, you will need to apply for a tourist visa at your local embassy. Make sure to do so well in advance of the Christmas period. Do not try to get a visa upon arrival, even if your nationality allows it. This is too complicated in Dhaka and we urge you to get a visa beforehand.

If you need support with your local embassy during the visa application process, please reach out to us and we will assist.

If you are in Madrid, we have direct contact with the embassy and can put you in touch. We can also help get in direct contact with other embassies if needed.

Do I need a PCR test or COVID certificate?

Please check your specific case online, with the embassy, or with your airline.

Anything specific I need to bring with me to Dhaka?

  • There are mosquitos in Dhaka during January, so you please bring an extra strength mosquito repellent with you that should last the duration of the trip. You can find these on Amazon and in pharmacies. We recommend keeping this in your hand luggage and spraying yourself before landing.

  • Temperatures can get cooler in Dhaka during January, so make sure to pack a light sweater / jacket.

  • Bengali cuisine is rich in spice and flavour, so if you tend to have a sensitive stomach we recommend bringing medication that can help prevent or relieve digestive issues.
